Ritual for Starting a Business
Materials:
Rattle
Celtic Cross Paper to burn
Four candles with matches Rose oil
Honey Compass
Place the Celtic Cross true to the directions, North, East, South, and West (as determined by the compass) with an unlit candle in each direction. The rattle, rose oil and honey are nearby.
The person leading the ritual sits in the east at the place of new beginnings and the partner or partners in the west, the direction of fulfillment. Rattle to signify the beginning of the ritual.
Leader: “We come together to ceremonially begin [the name of the business].” Place the paper with the name of the business written on it in the center of the cross.
The leader calls in the energy of the directions, creating a shield from the everyday world, saying: “East brings new beginnings and inspiration. South brings good work, passion, universal support, and abundance. West provides the future harvest, and emotional fulfillment. North brings the wisdom of the ancestors and the knowledge that this work is done for all children of the earth.” A candle is lit for each direction as the energy from each direction is welcomed.
Leader: “The direction downward remains open so that the energy of the earth may flow upward into our bodies, reminding us of what we already know as citizens of this earthly realm. The heavens remain open to us so that divine energy may pour down. We are the ones that connect heaven and earth in this good work.” Invite all participants to speak their wishes for the new business.
The leader anoints the hands of the participants with rose oil, intense energy of healing and creativity, asking that the hands of each one do the work that each person was born to do. The leader asks that the work of all together be sweet and offers a taste of honey to each person, saying, “May the honey, the sweet product of the bee bringing together pollen from many flowers, be the symbol for us to bring wisdom together from many sources and good, diligent, productive work And may this work together be sweet.”
The leader asks for blessings from all realms for this work and closes the directions, retaining the gifts that have been given and returning the world to its natural way of being. Upon reaching east, the leader lights the paper sending the newly birthed business into the consciousness of the planet.
Leader: “It is begun.” Close with rattling.
