About the philosophy of Ancient Wisdom Online
Ancient Wisdom Online draws spiritual principles from any and all wisdom traditions that have supported and inspired people for the duration of life on this planet. The connectedness of all life, the particular cosmic conditions of our beautiful spinning home, the evolution of life forms and bodies of knowledge, the relationship of humans to their land, to other living beings, and to supernatural beliefs systems – all this and more has its place in Ancient Wisdom Online. It is our hope that the security, safety, and delight of being a child of earth can be enhanced for modern people, by being reminded of what our ancestors knew about the miracles of earthly life.
What we have to offer
Ancient Wisdom Online offers regular written reflections (blog) on seasons, spiritual principles, wisdom of our ancestors, and ways to bring these fulfilling insights into our modern busy lives.
We offer sacred journeys (tours) to ancient holy sites in Celtic lands and beyond. These trips are led by wise, respectful, capable guides, with great experience in earth-based spirituality, ritual, ceremony, story-telling, and music.
We offer products and books (store)that are designed to keep spiritual truth alive on a daily basis. They are nurturing reminders that, despite our technologically advanced culture, we are, at our core, earthy beings that love our earthy home in very simple ways. We have longings that can be satisfied with our planet’s elements: earth, air, fire, and water… and basic life qualities: balance, flow, beauty, and connection.
Personal ceremonies and rituals (services) are available for any life transition, performed by Reverend Karyl Huntley. Life transitions include weddings and commitment ceremonies, baby blessings, memorials, house, office, and vineyard blessings, divorce, coming of age for young women and men, croning ceremonies, birthdays, retirement, and more. Consultations precede each ceremony so that exactly the movement that wants to happen within the celebrants is reflected in the ritual as it is experienced. Ceremonies are also described in tutorials, so that anyone who wishes to bless their life or the life of their family or community can perform their own rituals. |
